Goa State Innovation Council Releases Annual Report 2025–26
Panaji, 20 August 2026: The Goa State Innovation Council (GSInC) today released its Annual Report 2025–26, highlighting the Council’s initiatives and achievements in strengthening Goa’s innovation, science, technology, and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The Annual Report was released at the hands of Hon’ble Minister for Science & Technology, Shri Atanasio Monserrate, in the presence of Shri Jose Manuel Noronha, Chairman, Goa State Innovation Council, and Shri Mohd. Shabir, IAS, Director, Department of Science, Technology & Waste Management.
During 2025–26, GSInC continued to expand its outreach through a wide range of initiatives covering STEM education, innovation bootcamps, design thinking and prototyping workshops, intellectual property awareness, faculty development, startup acceleration, industry–institute interaction, risk capital awareness, and women-centric innovation programmes. These initiatives provided students, educators, innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs with opportunities to learn, experiment, develop prototypes, protect intellectual property, and pursue Innovation.
The Council also continued to strengthen the Virtual Innovation Register (VIR) as a platform for identifying, documenting, mentoring, and supporting innovative ideas from across Goa. Support was further extended through prototyping assistance, patent facilitation, student innovation schemes, and innovation recognition programmes. A major highlight of the year was INEX India 2025, which brought together innovators, researchers, startups, and industry representatives from over 20 countries, providing valuable opportunities for international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and exposure to emerging technologies.
